Mickey Hyunyu Kim is a director, heading Asia Pacific business development for various Google devices and services including Pixel, Google Nest/Home, Google AR, Chromecast, Google TV, subscription services and more at Google. In addition, Mickey leads partnerships with smart home and IoT partners in Asia Pacific at Google as well. Prior to this role, Mickey managed product planning, strategy and product launches of Google hardware devices across Asia Pacific and managed partnerships for Google’s new business initiatives such as Android TV, Google TV, Chrome, OpenSocial and new publisher ad platform since 2007.
Mickey has been an angel investor to technology start-ups and is a part of the Tamgu Life YouTube channel in Korea that has over a million subscribers. Mickey earned his MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and, prior to Haas, he was an international sales manager at Samsung Electronics. In 2012, his book about his career trek as well as the strengths and culture of Silicon Valley was published in Korea.
